212. Ideal Bread
I’m still playing with the tablet and Clip Studio Paint, and it is a lot of fun. 🙂 At some point I’m going to get to playing with the colours more.
This comic is brought to you by my most excellent Patreon supporters, including the most generous Lyrania.
This isn’t necessarily related to this particular comic, but I just want to say that every time I come here I get this feeling that everything is all right.
Thanks for that, I hope you’re having a lovely.
Wow, that is good to hear. 🙂 Thank you! <3
Hmm. I’m not sure why this is specifically about autists. Being able to use trial-and-error while baking without having to scrap the entire batch seems like something everyone with a cooking hobby would enjoy. I dislike eating failed experiments, and I hate, hate, hate, HATE throwing away inedible experiments. (…and I HAAAATE baking something by the number and having it come out over- or under-done. Baking is a science, not an art like most cooking!)
I love the fractal heating element.
(Misteline is right. Your comic is very comforting. I’m not sure why it induces such a strong feeling of “I was missing something, and now I’m not” or the mental equivalent of a heavy quilt and a cup of hot cocoa, but it does.)
As with many things to do with autistic people (that frequently get a “but non-autistic people have this too”), it is a lot more common with autistic people. Autistic people are more likely to have problems with overcooking or undercooking food because of executive function issues, and autistic people commonly have problems with chronoception. Even just running out of spoons halfway through cooking is a big problem for me!
I am glad you find the comic comforting, Jeyara. 🙂 Thank you for saying so!
