Came back to say I love this comic so very, very much. The multiplayer video game I had the most fun playing is King of Fighters. And I am CAFAB or whatever best describes someone with no particular gender and female sex. (When we bought our PS2, years ago, the store people rec’d Prince of Persia, didn’t seem terribly gendered to me.)
The more I hear about it, the more I think perhaps the gamers themselves are not so bad, it’s just the marketing people who’re so horribly binary. 🙂 Which is good if you’re talking to a human being to get recommendations!
Most gamers (except the um.. well, the jocks) seem to recognize the asexuality of games, it really does seem to be marketing people that just can’t figure it out. By the way, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time very much reccomended. *is female, still loves it. Eye candy for everyone!*
This made me think of a Tumblr post I read a few weeks ago about a teenage customer sticking up for his little brother when the dad freaked about the little brother wanting a pink controller.
The Early Learning Center scares me a bit.
You’re not the only one. *shudder*

I live with a young man who’s favorite color is pink. He likes cute things and bugs/dinosaurs/swords. Nothing wrong with variety.
