I also agree – the skinny uppercase is easier to read.
The chubby one would work for individual words that you wanted to emphasize, though. It’s just a little hard on the eyes when there’s an entire string of words. 🙂
I liketh the chubby one, chubby is good, but the skinny one is easier to read. For me all caps looks like someone’s gone ALL SHOUTY! You have lovely writing, so whatever the general consensus, it will look teh awesomez.
Like squeezy, I like the chubby one better on an aesthetic level and think it showcases the flourishes and uniqueness more, but the skinny one is easier to read. I’d suggest switching depending on how much space you have to fill and how many words you have to fill it. Use the chubby one when there’s plenty of space (and therefore it can be more readable) or the skinny one when you need to get a whole paragraph in.
Anything that is NOT all caps. That way, if you want your characters to yell at each other, for whatever reason, you can use the ALL CAPS as they’re intended.
I think the skinny upper case is easier to read

I like the chubby one. I hate all caps!
I like the skinny one.

I like the big ones, but perhaps if it was a bit smaller but not skinnier?
Lots of interesting ideas, here. It seems pretty evenly divided. So I guess I get to pick, eventually. My count so far is:
Chubby: 4
Skinny: 4
Middling: 3
The big one is prettier but the skinny one is easier to read.
Chubby lower-case
i agree, skinny
I read every one else’s comments and forgot what the question was but was left with a warm fuzzy….coz I sleep with a chubby.

Speech on the right is easier to read. Speech on the left is a dyslexic’s (well, at least this dyslexic’s) nightmare.
(Yes, I mixed the years up again. By June, you’d think I’d have this. 😛
