The very kind purchaser of Bad Stitchuation has sent me a photo of the cross stitch in a very appropriate and striking frame on their wall! I am still very excited even though they emailed a few days ago. 😀 With their permission I share it with you now.

I am excited! Did I say that yet? (Copyright is with the photographer; this photograph is reproduced with permission and should not be reproduced without permission.)

 I am a ball of anxiety now so I don’t really feel like I can say anything much else, but I wanted to share this. 🙂

Ace handwarmers longer

 

Hallo!

Following a commission I’ve made some more of these, since I now have the yarn banging about.

It’s all 75% wool, 25% nylon, except the purple stripes are 100% merino wool blend. Machine washable, and made in a pet-free, smoke-free home. They do stretch to fit bigger hands, just about. They are very much like these other ones, but a little bit longer.

Donation to Mermaids

Following the sale of the cross stitch, I am about to make the donation to Mermaids. I thought I’d do the maths as I went.

  • Donation was £15.
  • PayPal fee was 71p.
  • I got proof of posting but it doesn’t have the price on! So, let’s say… 50p?
  • Profit: £13.79 for Mermaids.

The Dotty Mug

10cm (4 in) tall, 8cm (3 and 1/8th in) diameter.

I bought it from a charity shop and improved it. It’s a bit like the way I draw on photographs, except I drew on a mug instead. There may be signs of former use in crockery items, and I will photograph them and show them in listings if I find them. There will be no chips or signs of breakage in a former life unless I think the item is improved by them; I will photograph those too. This has three tiny stain marks inside but is otherwise perfect.

I drew on the mug with porcelain pens, so the added markings are dishwasher safe. This mug *seems* to be dishwasher safe, but I don’t know how to tell for sure.

The Solo Teapot

9.5cm (3 and 6/8th in) tall approx, including lid; 35cm (13 and 6/8th in) diameter at widest point, not including spout or handle.

I bought it from a charity shop and improved it. It’s a bit like the way I draw on photographs, except I drew on a mug instead. There may be signs of former use in crockery items, and I will photograph them and show them in listings if I find them. There will be no chips or signs of breakage in a former life unless I think the item is improved by them; I will photograph those too. This particular teapot has been washed in a dishwasher but is still faintly stained inside, a little bit right at the bottom. It is otherwise stainless.

I drew on the teapot with porcelain pens, so the added markings are dishwasher safe. This teapot *seems* to be dishwasher safe, but I don’t know how to tell for sure.
